Linear

Overview

Connect cside to your Linear workspace to automatically create issues when security alerts are triggered. Each alert creates a Linear issue in the team you configure, giving your team full visibility within their existing workflow.

Prerequisites

Before setting up a Linear notification endpoint, you need to connect your Linear account as a team integration:

1. Open the dashboard and navigate to your Team Settings
2. Select the Integrations tab
3. Click Connect next to Linear and follow the OAuth authorization flow
4. Once authorized, you can set up Linear notification endpoints on any domain in the team

Setting up a Linear Notification Endpoint

1. Open the dashboard, navigate to your Domain Settings and select the Notifications tab
2. Click Add under Notification Endpoints
3. Select Linear from the options
4. Click Next to proceed to the configuration screen
5. In the Configure Linear Endpoint modal, fill in the required fields:
   • Team: Select the Linear team where issues should be created
6. Click Create Linear Endpoint to complete the setup

Once created, cside will automatically create a Linear issue in your selected team whenever a security alert is triggered for this domain.

What does a Linear issue look like?

Each Linear issue created by cside includes:

• Title: cside Security Alert: {alert type} on {domain}
• Description (in markdown) with the following details:
  • The affected domain
  • The alert type
  • The target (script URL or hash that triggered the alert)
  • The action taken
  • A link to the cside dashboard for further investigation

Testing

After setting up a Linear notification endpoint, use the Send a Test Notification button on the Notifications settings page to verify the integration is working. A test issue will be created in your Linear team with a notice that no action is required.

Next steps

• Add more notification endpoints - you can configure multiple endpoints per domain (e.g., Linear + Slack webhook) from the Notifications tab in your domain settings
• Connect other integrations - visit Team Settings > Integrations to connect Jira or other services
• Configure additional domains - each domain can have its own set of notification endpoints, so repeat the setup for any other domains you want to monitor

Removing a Linear Endpoint

To remove a Linear notification endpoint:

1. Navigate to your Domain Settings and select the Notifications tab
2. Find the Linear endpoint in the list
3. Click the delete button next to the endpoint
